Mathias

Mathias is the great love of Abigail, whom he wants to marry against his mother’s will if necessary. Unfortunately, he tells his friend Lodowick about the beauty of his beloved, which is why the latter also wants to meet her. Barabas tricks them both by promising each of them the hand of his daughter and then provokes a duel between them, in which both die.
